Arts United
Every year, Polyphonies d’Eysines produce a new show, as required by a covenant signed with the municipality of Eysines. The choir specializes in major modern and popular works with a stage production. Their shows are a combination of songs, music, dance and stage paintings.
In recent years, productions have included the Canto General by Mikis Théodorakis, Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, Zorba by Mikis Theodorakis, and the Cantate de Santa Maria de Iquique by Luis Advis
Emmanuel Lahoz, choir master
Emmanuel started out as a chorister and at the age of 7 studied the harp at the Bordeaux conservatory. At 10, he was harpist for the shows created by his father Rodolfo, an accomplished guitarist and choir master. Currently he teaches the harp in the towns of Jonzac, Blanquefort and Parempuyre. At the same time Emmanuel enjoys conducting choirs and has been at the head of Polyphonies d’Eysines since 2011.
