Voix de Stras’ are a multifarious contemporary vocal ensemble, six lyrical voices and masters in the art of polyphony with a sensual and deep-cutting repertoire. Very much appreciated for the innovative side to their programmes and the quality of each performance, Voix de Stras’ have taken up the challenge of exploring the infinite world of vocal expression. Voix de Stras’ commission and then execute works from a number of composers such as Ramon Lazkano, Lionel Ginoux, Ivan Solano, Tom Mays and Thierry Escaich… Invited to perform across the world, Voix de Stras’ have given concerts in the United States, Norway, Austria and Brazil. Their latest CD – « Notes de Voyage » was released in 2016.

Catherine Bolzinger
Catherine Bolzinger is the artistic director at the head of the Voix de Stras’ ensemble and the Strasbourg philharmonic choir while also teaching her art at the Strasbourg Académie Supérieure de Musique and Conservatoire. She continues to enjoy a career marked by diversity of situation and excellence of execution.
At the head of her Voix de Stras’ ensemble, Catherine Bolzinger has worked with reputed artistes such as Vincent Warnier, Pablo Marquez or the Percussions de Strasbourg. She has directed works by Thierry Escaich and Ramon Lazkano and today commissions others from emerging composers. Further afield, Catherine Bolzinger has been invited to Poland, Latvia, Brazil, Senegal, Russia and the United States, and also to perform with the prestigious Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal conducted by Kent Nagano.
A graduate of the Conservatoire Supérieur de Lyon majoring in choral direction, a laureate of the Société Générale musical patronage scheme and three times a winner at the Tours Concours International de Chant Choral, Catherine Bolzinger was appointed Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur in 2016.
