Schooled in operatic singing, drama and dancing, the creator of numerous contemporary pieces plus a talented improviser, composer and stage director for musical performances, Valérie Philippin likes to explore the links between popular or scholarly musical traditions and contemporary vocal scores by way of a variety of projects focused on creation and teaching. As an enthusiastic educator working with both professionals and amateurs, Valérie Philippin teaches a contemporary repertoire, musical theatre and improvisation. In 2017 she is publishing an educational book that takes a close look at the contemporary vocal repertoire and technique: « La Voix soliste contemporaine, repères, technique et répertoire ».
